			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img src="http://i.ytimg.com/vi/qRQxIcbIT3A/2.jpg" align="left">Good nutrition is the secret to both losing fat and gaining muscle, in this video I show you how to eat 6 inexpensive, nutritious meals a day without cooking or shopping.  This video is in response to the hundreds of people who have written me saying they knew their nutrition was horrible but felt powerless to improve it because of the schedule constraints of their work, school, or life.  Eating 6 small, well balanced meals a day is easy when you know how and once your nutrition is on track you will find it easy to reduce bodyfat to show those 8-pack abs and gain muscle too.  </p>
<p>The one thing you need to do though is get rid of the idea that food always has to be tasty.  Jack LaLane had a great saying &#8220;If it tastes good, spit it out!&#8221; and its so true.  If something is that good then its most likely got too much sugar, salt, fat or artificial flavors.  When something tastes really, really good your first thought should be &#8211; &#8220;whats in this?&#8221;.  Think about what you are eating! If what makes it taste good is the nasty stuff mentioned above then spit it out. Obviously if﻿ you are eating a carrot or an apple and it tastes good this doesnt apply.  The saying is designed to make you think about everything you eat.  If you dont know what is on the list of ingredients and its nutritional content then SPIT IT OUT!</p>
<p>Here are the meals I eat during the video:</p>
<p>5:00am  coffee and protein powder mixed in water (about 100 cals)<br />
6:30am  oatmeal with flax and protein powder (about 400 cals)<br />
9:30am  mixed frozen vegetables with spaghetti sauce and protein powder mixed in water (about 400 cals)<br />
12:00     shredded wheat with nonfat milk, flax, and protein powder (about 400 cals)<br />
2:30pm  can of kidney beans and raisins (about 300 cals)<br />
5:00pm  dried soybeans and raisins (about 300 cals)<br />
7:30pm  mixed frozen vegetables with spaghetti sauce and protein powder mixed in water (about 300 cals)<br />
9:00pm  protein powder mixed in water (100 cals)</p>
<p>If you eat too much your kidneys have to work overtime to get rid of it and its not healthy.  How much protein consumption is too much?  Many bodybuilders consume more than 1g protein per pound of body weight per day without any problems.  I  keep under that number, I weigh 240 lbs and consume about 200g protein a day.</p>
<p>You will notice that I didnt eat any chicken/meat/fish during the whole day, that is typical for me.  I eat meat when I go out to restaurants (about once a week) but not at home.  If you want, feel free to use meats for your protein rather than protein powder.  You can get dried fish and meat, and you can also get canned salmon/tuna.  Both of these are very convenient.  If you  have time, you can grill up some chicken twice a week and use this as your protein.</p>
<p>Many, many people have asked what protein powder I recommend.  I would stick to protein powders that have the words &#8220;100% Natural&#8221; in the name.  The protein powder I use is here: </p>

It&#8217;s not just about the omega-3s. I need some protein variety. I&#8217;m getting tired of chicken.<br />
<br />This is funny. If you do not like that &quot;distinctive seafood flavor&quot;, then don&#8217;t eat it. You can get the omega 3 from vitamin tablets or something like cod liver oil tablets. Search omega 3 on google and see what you can find.</p>

When you have a small budget, but you need enough groceries for the whole week, how do you choose healthy foods without spending too much? And what kinds of healthy foods are somewhat inexpensive?<br />
<br />It&#8217;s amazing that more people don&#8217;t see this obvious fact. However your question is a very good and valid one that deserves a forthright answer.</p>
<p>We live on a planet that grows stuff by synthesizing fruit and vegetables directly from water, minerals and sunlight. </p>
<p>It just so happens that those plants have evolved along side our own evolution to sustain us perfectly. </p>
<p>All you have to do is buy (or pick) fresh fruit and vegetables that are in season. </p>
<p>All natural food comes in its own wrapper, it is easy to eat and requires no cooking. Not only that, but stuff that grows costs much less than stuff we have to feed, kill, process and repackage. </p>
<p>One common misconception is the western world is that we need copious amounts of protein everyday. If you look at world statistics, you will quickly discover that those who eat less protein are healthier and live longer. (Okinawans for instance) </p>
<p>Sun and rain makes the good stuff grow.<br />
It renews itself or with seeds we sow.<br />
Its easy, delicious and fun to eat.<br />
Be healthy and happy with far less meat.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am happy with my size at the moment but i think i could be healthier, i dont want to go on one of those diets and loose heaps of weight, i just want to have a healthy body. Are there any simple sugestions to help me keep on track with my healthy eating?<br />
I am turning 15.<br />
<br />A healthy diet is easy to say but hard to stick with.</p>
<p>·It is important to maintain a good diet so you don&#8217;t compromise your health. Damage done because of lack of nutrition is not worth a nice body. Some diet damage cannot be fixed.<br />
·<br />
·When you deprive your brain,(your brain craves sugar) the brain will take other body cells to convert to the elements that it needs. And the cells it takes are BRAIN cells. OOPS. I don&#8217;t want to lose brain cells to have thin legs. But I would like to have both.</p>
<p>DECIDE TO MAKE A LIFE CHANGE TO A HEALTHY LIFE STYLE.</p>
<p>1) fruits and veggies, all you want, organic, raw, vine-ripe if possible. Steamed is OK, sautéed is OK even canned or frozen is OK, but lots of them.<br />
2) limited or no meat. Read Dr. Campbell’s book “the China Study”<br />
3) nothing fried-saute with some olive oil, extra virgin(from first pressing)<br />
4) no FAST FOOD- is junk, no nutrition, empty calories<br />
5) NO PROCESSED FOOD. if you can&#8217;t pronounce it don&#8217;t eat it.<br />
6) nothing white, salt, sugar, mayo, milk, (or at least in moderation.<br />
7) NO DAIRY-dairy is great for baby cows, your body does not even digest it properly. And is loaded with pus and bacteria check out www.notmilk.com<br />
 <img src='http://www.jmdpublications.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif' alt='8)' class='wp-smiley' /> EXERCISE- and be sure to refresh your body with water and fresh fruit<br />
9) NO PROTEIN SUPPLEMENTS. Muscle is made from water, replace the water. You get enough protein from the food you eat, You get more protein from spinach than the supplements you take and your body does not get toxic on food protein the way it will with supplements. Supplements can really tax you liver.<br />
10) Good supplement would be Omega 3, and Juice Plus+<br />

11) NO CARBONATED DRINKS, or at least limited. They actually dissolve the calcium in your bones.<br />
12) Calories in calories out.</p>
<p>AND DON&#8217;T GO NUTS, MODERATION.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I never been lunchbox before so this year i need a healthy choice of food to eat for lunch.I am a vegiterrian so meat is limited to very little to no meat.Please help or give recipes for easy lunches that are healthy but taste pretty good and have no meat or very little like ham samwhiches and turkey is ok.<br />
<br />Apples and carrots (the big carrots) are good if you are a vegetarian. Peanut butter is tasty but has grease and makes you feel disgusting later&#8230;not good esp if you are in high school.</p>
<p>I would also suggest an assortment of roasted low salt nuts and water.</p>
<p>I would not suggest lettuce because it starts going bad and turning a disgusting brown.</p>
<p>Spinach is a great source of energy and really good minerals and vitamins.</p>
<p>Apples: Nutritious and help clean teeth as well as fill you up and keep you full longer.</p>
<p>Carrots: Good source of vitamins and minerals to help memory and eyesight. </p>
<p>Roasted Nuts: Great source of protein which your body needs when you are active and studying.</p>
