My suggestion to you is not to try so many different can food on your cat. It will spoil him and make him choosy. Seriously, i can say that wet food is not really healthy for your cat. It can spoil your cat's teeth and he is more likely to get foul breath. I think dry food might be a better choice as it is more nutritious and it is good for the teeth too. But sometimes difference people advocate a mixture of the 2. My cat only eats fresh fish so i do not have a worry for the can food. As for the dry food, i am feeding my cats Royal Canin Indoor 27. I have a cat that has allergic airways and, miraculously, by feeding her royal canin dry food, her condition got better and seldom have allergic attacks. Maybe you can try royal canin dry food.
References :
Absolutely!
Do you like sushi? Some of my friends hate fish itself but will happily eat salmon or tuna sushi!
You could include fish in spring rolls, use little amounts in sandwiches or wraps, make a fish/seafood chowder or curry... The trick is to include small amounts but build it up as you get used to it.
Another trick is to mix flaked/chunky fish (i.e flaked tuna) with mayonnaise or salad dressing such as thousand island, and then spread that into your sandwich/wrap. That gives it a really nice creamy taste and the smell won't be as strong, which means it will appeal more.
I used to be not so keen on fish myself, but started small and increased the amount slowly. Now, fish is one of my favourite foods and I eat it about 3 times a week!
Good luck with these (:
References :
I used to be not so keen on fish myself, but started small and increased the amount slowly. Now, fish is one of my favorite foods and I eat it about 3 times a week!

Hear hear. When Jennifer Gardner said she lost her baby weight by eating a salad every day for lunch I nearly gagged at how repulsive that sounded to eat something so boring every single day.

The key is these two things: make sure your salad is filling so you don't finish it and then look through your cupboards for a candy bar and two, make sure your salad tests good so you don't finish it and then look through your cupboards for....a candy bar.

No matter what anyone says, romaine lettuce, iceberg, spinach, cos lettuce, arugula, etc doesn't really have much taste to them. But use that to your advantage. It means you can have a regular salad base and all the nutrients that come with the lettuce, but add different ingredients that can completely change the taste of the meal. Chicken versus ham and bacon bites; ranch dressing versus vinagearette, but the thing that I've found that can change the flavor is to add a bit of fruit to the salad. Strawberries are surprising fantastic. Cantaloupe, pears, grapes are all great, as well.

Also a fun way to get family to eat salad is to throw mini marshmallows into the mix. It seems to get them excited to chomp down searching for them.
References :
cook by steaming and add black bean sauce or poach in chicken stock and add the sauce along with green onions and celery. Choose a more flavorful fish ie milder flavor and ensure fish is fresh or if frozen can be cooked from that state. I would suggest trying salmon, sea bass steaks, swordfish steaks , king fish steaks , sole fillet , if frying go for the halibut and haddock,if doing whole trout or red snapper another you may try are the ranch raised cat fish fillets that are seasoned with lemon or cajun style. I love seafood even for breakfast and my wife can not abide it in the morning but will join me when I make salmon sandwiches from tinned salmon (red sockeye) add chopped celery and mayonnaise and a few dashes of liquid smoke . Keep the pink salmon for loaves and fish cakes by adding crumb seasonings and an egg.
References :
It will take a while, but if you post your recipe on a site like Recipezaar (www.recipezaar.com), it will automatically calculate the nutrition per serving. You have to wait for it to get published though, so its better for something you plan to make...
References :
Well, there is nothing wrong with Merrick canned food, so you can just stick with that if you and your cat are happy with it. I would just recommend that you buy the poultry varieties. For dry food, I highly recommend that you choose a food that is grain-free. EVO is easily the most popular. It has also been around the longest, it's the lowest in carbohydrates, it's palatable, and it's actually cheaper than much of the competition.
----------------
catiators has no idea what she is talking about.
Her claim that dry food is inherently "at least half carbohydrates, grains or potatoes" is completely false. There are many grain-free, low carbohydrate dry foods. EVO is only 7% carbs. Those of us who completed third grade math know that 7% is much less than 50%. Merrick uses meat and vegetables as ingredients, while Fancy Feast uses unnamed animal by-products, wheat gluten, corn starch, and soy protein. You'll have to employ common sense to determine which is healthier for your cat.
