I’m 15 and im at a normal weight and I have a fast metabolism so no matter how much junk I eat I dont gain weight. My problem is that because I have to cook for myself and never feel like cooking, fast food is more convenient for me. I’m kind of a vegitarian so i’m really picky with my meats. I rarely ever get any protein. In a day all I will usually eat is candy and then french fries for dinner and im completly satisfied with that but everyone tells me if I continue to eat that way I’ll be lucky to make it to 25. I know I need to eat healthy but I cant stick with that for more then a day. What should I do? I have no one to motivate me and keep me on track of eating healthy so I will give in to junk.
I am aware that I make poor choices when it comes to eating so I am trying to change my ways and eat healthier.
I used to be like you. I had a lot of junk food everyday and usually ate nothing healthy. Try eating fruits, grains, beans, vegetables and possibly meat if you can. Take multivitamins daily as well. If you can’t stand think about your health. That’s what I did.
How can I get myself to stop eating junk and start eating healthy?

eating that alone is not enought. if you think a candy bar and french fries are enough to satisfy you you may have a eating disorder.

Try getting some type of personal trainer.

I use to be in your shoes – except never a vegetarian. No matter what I ate I didn’t gain weight. I got married and put on pounds like crazy… Its good that you are taking initiative now, so hopefully won’t be in my shoes in about 10 years. I now am working hard to lose weight.
I would say try out yogurt – i really like the dairyland classic with fruit at the bottom… and fruits .. if you like peanut butter that is great for protein and it doesn’t take much to make a serving of it.
and not sure what other opinions are on those lean cuisine meals or something like that… tailored for healthy individual meals.. although, guess it depends on if they really are healthy.

You have to start cooking, or eat "healthy" takeaways, have you tried chinese?, they have vegetarian noodles, stir frys, or indian?
Maybe one day you make a big bowl of lentil soup and another with rice, this with some greens will be your complete dinner. Or trye baked beans with rice/pasta and greens?, start with can beans, and later on get some healthy recipes.
