What are some healthy eating and exercising alternatives for teens/preteens?
Eat Fruit !
Seriously, when you feel like a sweet chocolate bar… why not grab a plate of strawberries and apples?
There’s some really good vegetables too, you know!
Make salads instead of going to the nearest McDonald’s.
Losing weight and being healthy is all about your mindset.
If you’re really comitted, it’s very easy!
Next time you feel like eating something unhealthy, think about what it’s going to do to your body before.

Alternatives to what?
The best thing for you is a diet full of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean meats/dairy. You should get exercise 4-6 times per week. It’s pretty basic stuff.

eat your basic food groups, not too much not too little. dont drink much soda, or eat too much junk food. if you do eat that kind of stuff, make sure your exercise is making up for the calories. for exercise, jog or run with a friend. join a team, or play some kind of sport to play with others. if you can, hit the gym, BUT make sure that you know how to use the machines. make sure to get a good work out, but to also not hurt yourself

Normal activity is still exercise. Walking to school, walking to the shops going for a bike ride with your friends. This can all be counted as exercise.
As far as healthy eating nothing is really bad for you so long as you have it in moderation. The occasional chocolate bar isn’t going to give you major weight problems – 3 or 4 a day obviously will.
