How do you figure out the nutrition facts for a recipe you made healthy?

by admin on January 30, 2010

I substituted things in a recipe to make it more healthy. How do I figure out the new nutritions facts; like, how many calories, g of protein, g of fat, g of carbohydrates, mg of sodium, mg of cholesterol?

Hi you could have a look here . If you don’t say how you’ve changed things how can we help. I’m sure it would have been quicker to get this online yourself.
I hope this helps. Although you may need a site that deals with weight watching to find out some details. All the best. Rab

There are several websites that will tell you the nutrition content of your recipe. This is my favorite, since you can type in all the ingredients and don’t have to look them up one at a time.

It will take a while, but if you post your recipe on a site like Recipezaar (www.recipezaar.com), it will automatically calculate the nutrition per serving. You have to wait for it to get published though, so its better for something you plan to make…
